"In my tapestry I depict a Fair by the riverside featuring people dressed in the traditional costumes of that Andean region, " says the master weaver as he presents his work. "The women are selling the huacas (ceramic pots) that they made. This is a scene you regularly see on Sundays throughout Andean villages, where people come to either sell or buy. " huaynate weaves the wool in the traditional style of San Pedro de Las cajas. He obtains the colors from natural dyes. Titled "Las huaqueras" in Spanish.
