This breakout board brings the signals of an Arduino UNO out to screw terminal blocks for quick, easy, secure connections. Each signal is also brought to thru-hole solder pads (0.1" pitch) which allow easy access for testing and prototyping. A small thru-hole grid proto area is also included (0.1" pitch), allowing small interface circuits to be added if needed. Pin headers on the bottom side of the board allow an Arduino UNO to be easily added, while socket headers (receptacles) allow a shield to be added on the top. In addition, the assembly can conveniently be mounted on a DIN plate for mounting on a rail if needed. (UNO, DIN plate, and DIN rail are not included.) The design ensures that no signal can short to the USB connector on the UNO. If mounting to a DIN plate or panel, note that the four threaded standoffs (#6-32) have center-to-center spacing of 2.5" x 3.5". Four nylon snap-in PCB supports are included. They may be installed (optional) to lock the UNO in place if there is concern that the UNO could come loose over time (e.g., environment with vibration). Please note that the breakout boards are manufactured with a connection between each Arduino pin and the corresponding terminal block position; no soldering of any type is necessary. The solder pads simply provide an area for making optional connections to additional headers or other components.
